The mathematics program allows students to acquire a basic math background and to develop their analytical skills by exploring various branches of mathematics and computer science. Students can adapt the program to their particular aptitudes and career goals, studying one or more branches of the discipline.
- three-year program leads to a bachelor of science or arts in mathematics, with concentration in mathematics alone or in combination with computer science or another subject
- Four-year program lead to an honours bachelor of arts or science in mathematics
- Computer science component is a valuable addition to the study of mathematics at Laurentian

- 1 other grade 12 4U Mathematics course (Calculus & Vectors strongly recommended)

When establishing their program of study, students should pay particular attention to the prerequisites for courses that they may wish to take in later years.
All upper-year students must have their programs approved by the department before registration.
Students registered in degree programs in mathematics or computer science may only receive credit for STAT 2246 from the Introductory Statistics courses.
Students in one of the listed 3-year degrees may, in certain circumstances, substitute a 4th-year MATH course for a 3rd-year MATH course, with permission of the chair.
Note: Students may include a maximum of 42 credits at the 1000 level in B.A. programs and 48 credits in B.Sc. programs.
