HONOURS DIPLOMA

HONOURS DIPLOMA
IN ANTHROPOLOGY

Sometimes, students who have already graduated with a general 3-year B.A. or B.Sc. in Anthropology desire to obtain the equivalent of a 4-year honours degree, for example, to proceed to graduate school. The honours diploma serves this purpose.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the Honours Diploma Program will require the successful completion of a single-concentration 3-year general B.A., or a single concentration 3- year general B.Sc. in Anthropology, or their equivalents, with at least a 70% average in all Anthropology courses taken in those degrees.

Program

The student must successfully complete 30 additional credits in Anthropology with an overall average of at least 70%, as follows:

ANTR 3026 (with at least a 70% grade)*

ANTR 3027*

ANTR 4095

18 ANTR credits to be approved by the Anthropology Chair

*If ANTR 3026 and 3027 were already completed in the general degree, other ANTR courses should be taken to complete the 30 required credits in Anthropology.
