Travel and Volunteer Abroad this Summer!
Dear Student,
On behalf of International Student Volunteers (ISV), I would like to inform you about an incredible opportunity to travel and volunteer in Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Thailand, Eastern Europe and South Africa!
The ISV summer program is a unique opportunity to combine meaningful volunteer work and educational adventure travel. I will be partnering with ISV to let students know about their programs and possibly lead volunteer projects abroad this summer. I believe that opportunities like ISV are truly valuable and something every student should consider. To apply for the ISV program you will need to submit a non-committal application form at http://www.isvonline.com/apply_now
Each year, over 4000 participants volunteer with ISV, contributing to environmental, conservation and humanitarian efforts, and fostering responsible travel and cultural awareness around the world. Since 2002, ISV participants have provided nearly two million hours of volunteer service globally- a tremendous contribution to small communities and conservation programs where help is needed.
The first two weeks of the ISV Program is a hands-on volunteer project in social community development or conservation. Last year’s projects included working with rescued elephants, orphaned children, researching rainforest species, assisting on small organic farms, building schools and houses, and many more. ISV has a commitment to meaningful and sustainable projects and has opportunities across six continents. More information about ISV’s volunteer projects is available on their website at www.isvonline.org.
The second two weeks will see you launch into an exciting and educational tour of the best cultural and adventure activities in your host country. Your two week tour may include a two-day white water rafting adventure, glacier climbing, waterfall rappelling, city exploration, scuba diving and jungle kayaking.

The ISV program is a great way for you to travel with a purpose and make a difference with your summer. This is your chance to join over 4000 volunteers from around the world on the adventure of a lifetime and forge lasting friendships and cherished memories.
Because the ISV program has an educational framework, hundreds of students every year apply to receive academic credit for volunteering during their summer. Also, ISV has financial assistance programs available and can help you raise the cost of the program through sponsorship donations.
If you are interested in making a difference this summer please visit www.isvonline.org and submit a free non-committal application. Should you have questions regarding the above opportunity, I would be happy to answer them. Please drop by my office (Room S-611) in the Biology Department, Laurentian Campus.
Kind regards,
G.H. Parker International Student Volunteers, Inc.
