Misagh Alipour successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis in Biomolecular Sciences on January 13th 2012. Misagh was working with the supervision of Dr. Omri in the Chemistry & Biochemistry Department where he studied drug delivery systems for treatment of lung infection in cystic fibrosis patients. This is the 4th Ph.D. student graduating from Dr. Omri’s lab. Misagh’s thesis title was: “Drug Delivery and Adjunct Strategies in the Treatment of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Infections”. Misagh is quickly transitioning into his post-doctoral work at the University of Alberta. He will work in Dr. Julia Liu’s lab studying the interaction of the intestinal microbial population and the epithelial lining.
Congratulations Dr. Alipour!
