§ Students enrolled in the specialized program in chemistry obtaining a minimum of 80% CHMI 1006 may take CHMI 2117 instead of CHMI 1007.

‡ Students having already taken CHMI 2117 in lieu of CHMI 1007 may take an elective.

* Student may take PHYS 2006 or MATH 2066 in lieu of PHYS 2016.

TOTAL NUMBER OF CREDITS = 120

MINIMUM NUMBER OF CHMI CREDITS = 60 (students with 80 % in CHMI 1006 and taking CHMI 2117 in lieu of CHMI 1007) and 63 for others.

E = 17 x 3 = 51 elective credits for students having taken CHMI 1007.

E = 18 x 3 = 54 elective credits for students having taken CHMI 2117 in lieu of CHMI 1007.

ELECTIVE CREDITS (E)

Humanities or Social Sciences (12 cr)

A minimum of 3 cr in Biology, Geology or Engineering

Elective CHMI credits to be taken at the 3rd and 4th year level (minimum total of 15).  If intending to apply to graduate studies in Chemistry be aware that many of the universities require 18 credits of chemistry at the 4th year level.

Must take:

3 cr of CHMI 41XX (3 cr)

3 cr of CHMI 33XX or 3031 or CHMI 43XX

3 cr of CHMI 35XX or 45XX

3 cr of CHMI 34XX or CHMI 44X

3 cr of any 3rd or 4th year CHMI course
