Director's message

Welcome to the School of Commerce and Administration at Laurentian University.  Laurentian University is located in Sudbury, which is four hours North of Toronto, Ontario.  The city has more than 300 lakes, including Ramsey Lake, which is located in the heart of the city and close to the campus.  It also has small-town flavour with big-city appeal, making it a great city in which to live and study.

The School of Commerce and Administration at Laurentian University has a reputation for academic excellence built over more than 40 years. Graduate level programs offered in Ontario universities must be reviewed periodically by the Ontario Council on Graduate Studies (OCGS) to ensure quality graduate education and research across Ontario.

Besides the value of earning a degree from a reputable university, the advantages of being a student in the Commerce and Administration programs include:

·         benefiting from small class sizes which makes the interaction between professor and student more personal,

·         learning from professors who are among the best in their field of experience, and

·         diversifying your career opportunities by either specializing in accounting, finance, human resources, marketing or organizational behaviour.

Not only have you earned a degree, you have also learned the values of teamwork, leardership, communication, which are essential in a business environment.

If you are a prospective student, and are in the Sudbury area, please drop by the Laurentian University campus.

Ozhand Ganjavi, Ph.D.
