Fees
The Laurentian MBA charges tuition by the course, plus some minor ancillary charges. Detailed fees are provided in the Student Fees section.
The amounts provided in the Student Fees section do not include the costs associated with residence, compulsory health insurance, transportation, etc… and the general cost of living. It is estimated that these additional costs add up to $4,000 and $5,000 per semester.
Can I obtain Financial Assistance?
There are a few options for obtaining financial aid. The figures below are for 2005-06.
Graduate Teaching Assistantship ($6,950 for eight months, twice)
· Available to all full-time students in good standing.
· Students must be nominated by the MBA coordinator.
· Students are required to work up to ten hours a week in some form of teaching assistance.
Laurentian University Summer Fellowship ($2,000 once)
· Available to all full-time students in good standing in the Thesis Stream MBA, or students taking a minimum of two summer courses.
· Students may hold other employment for a maximum of ten hours per week while receiving this Fellowship.
Research Assistants
· Faculty holding research grants may provide support in appropriate cases.
Laurentian University Graduate Scholarship
Awarded for academic excellence.
· For first year of graduate study.
Joseph Errington Graduate Fund Scholarships
· Awarded for academic excellence.
Alumni Association Entrance Scholarship
Awarded for academic excellence
· For first year of graduate study.
University Women’s Club of Sudbury
· Awarded to a woman exhibiting academic excellence and financial need.
Graduate Students’ Association Fellowship
Awarded to a student with financial need who has completed five or more terms of study, has completed all course requirements, and is registered full-time in the final stages of preparation of the Master’s thesis.
