WEST

The West Residence is a 6 storey air conditioned building with an elevator. Five floors are reserved for residence. A laundry room, vending machines, public washrooms, study rooms, mail pick-up area and the Residence Office are situated on the main floor, along with service areas, garbage room, recycling room, etc.

The West Residence will accommodate 220 upper year students in 55 furnished self-contained apartments, each with 4 single bedrooms, living room, kitchen and two bathrooms. Each apartment is wired for basic cable T.V. and an Internet connection is provided at each bed at no extra cost. Phone jacks are provided for each room. Each floor has a lounge and garbage chute. For your safety, all entrances are card controlled and video recorded.

Students residing in the West Residence will have the benefit of accessing all services on Student Street. What is Student Street? It is a 300 meter long hallway that connects the West Residence, Single Student Residence, Married/Mature Student Residence and University College Residence. Services available on Student Street are a games rooms, large TV/multi-use room, vending machines, laundry rooms, mail/parcel pick-up areas, Health Services, Residence Office, Residence Life Office, counselling services, study rooms, convenience store, snack bar, exercise room, computer room, porter/reception areas, meeting rooms and lounge areas. In addition, services such as photocopiers, faxing, courier mail area also available. All entrances to the complex are video-recorded for your safety. Also available outside adjacent to the complex is a basketball/road hockey court, patio deck and B.B.Q. pit.

A minimum of 30 university credits is required for application to this residence

Application / Procedures

Applications will be available and accepted as of January, 2012 by the Residence Office. Offers will be made shortly thereafter. A deposit of $500.00 will be required at time of offer.
