Would you like to contribute to the Department of Earth Sciences Equipment Fund?
The Department of Earth Sciences and MERC have grown during the past 10 years and are now recognized collectively as one of the top teaching and research centers in the world in mineral deposits and Precambrian Geology. We have 3 additional faculty positions and have plans to add 3 more. We have doubled the number of research grants and tripled the amount of research funding. We have redesigned our BSc curriculum to include more field work and have added a Tectonics, Petrogenesis, and Metallogenesis "capstone" course at the 4th year level. Our graduates have never been in higher demand. As the reputation of the Department increases, so does the value of a Laurentian University degree and so does the value of having an exploration office in Sudbury. If you would like to contribute to this fund, download the donation forms and send them to the address listed on the form.
