Dr. Singh is currently working as a Professor of Mining Engineering at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Canada. He obtained his M.Sc from Michigan Technological University and Ph.D. from the University of Utah, both in mining engineering. He worked as a mining engineer in Iron, Copper and Limestone mines for six years. The major focus of his research is in the area of rock fragmentation. During his tenure at Laurentian University he obtained research funding from mining industry, federal and provincial governments. He has published over seventy papers in International refereed journals and conference proceedings. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario and a member of CIM and ISEE.
