Online Degree Programs offered in Partnership with CGA-Canada

Laurentian University offers an online Honours Bachelor of Commerce (H.B.Com) program and an online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program through a partnership with CGA-Canada. The H.B.com and MBA programs have no on-campus requirement — this gives students maximum flexibility to complete coursework wherever and whenever they choose.

Online H.B.Com program

The program will suit students without an undergraduate degree who are interested in developing a strong foundation of contemporary core business and management skills while pursuing their CGA studies.

This 120-credit honours degree provides a solid grounding in business administration and is available nationally and internationally. The LU program satisfies the degree requirement for certification as a CGA and is fully integrated with the CGA program of studies. Students can complete the degree concurrent with CGA studies in an additional five terms of part-time study.

Online MBA Program

Laurentian University's 60-credit online Master of Business Administration (MBA) has been developed for online delivery in partnership with CGA-Canada. It is designed for CGAs and senior students in the CGA program who want to further their career with the powerful combination of a CGA designation and an MBA degree.

CGAs are eligible for advanced standing in the MBA program and qualified students in the CGA program are able to work on their MBA and CGA designation concurrently. The design of the MBA program recognizes the learning that takes place through experience in business and through academic or CGA studies — in this program, there is no need to repeat concepts already mastered. The focus is on the business topics and skills that motivated accountants need: organizational behavior, marketing, operations, research, and strategy. Electives, including advanced courses for individuals with a business undergraduate degree, accommodate a wide range of student interests and backgrounds.
