MATS1911 Finite Math (3 Credits)
The following topics will be studied: introductory algebra and trigonometry; matrices and systems of linear equations; descriptive statistics and elementary probability. Prerequisite: Grade 12 Mathematics or permission of the department. Students may not retain credit if OAC or University Math has been completed.
MATS1912 Elementary Calculus (3 Credits)
This is an introductory calculus course, covering the following topics: Functions and Graphs; Limits and Continuity; Differentiation Techniques and Their Applications; Exponential and Logarithm Functions; Definition and Techniques of Integration. Prerequisite: Grade 12 Mathematics or permission of the department. Students may not retain credit if OAC or University Math has been completed.
