Teaching Interests:

I am interested in teaching biomechanics: It is in everything that we do – whether sport or occupational or clinical (pathomechanics). The mechanics behind jobs, activities and injuries are relevant to any moving person.

Research Interests:

My research focuses on spine mechanics. I am particularly interested in how some people control their muscle recruitment to prevent injury and how this relates to stability in the spine. Part of understanding this involves looking at how these skills evolve – if at all.
