Brief Biography: Michelle K. Belanger completed a Bachelor of Physical Education (Health Promotion) at Laurentian University, followed by a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science/International Relations) at the University of Windsor. Michelle has personal (backpacking), academic (CIDA internship) and employment related travel experience in China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan). She has also travelled in Australia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, Mexico, South Korea, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia, Vietnam, as well as in theUnited States and Canada (especially Killarney Provincial Park). She is currently a Master’s of Human Kinetics student at Laurentian University and employed as Manager, International Recruitment and Admissions in Laurentian University’s International Department. Michelle has completed additional professional development courses at the University of British Columbia’s Institute for Intercultural Communications. Between travelling, marathon training and canoe trips with her husband, Michelle is always looking for ways to improve her Mandarin-speaking skills.

Thesis Title: The Reflections of Aboriginal Community Members Co-researching with Mainstream White Academics through Sport
Brief Biography:
Amy graduated with a B.A. in sport psychology from Laurentian University in 2007. She is currently involved in a collaborative research project with colleagues from Laurentian University and co-researchers from the Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve. The project is aimed at enhancing youth sport programming within the Aboriginal community in order to motivate aspiring athletes. Amy has co-authored 1 book chapter and 4 journal articles. She has also presented her research at the Eastern Canadian Sport and Exercise Psychology Symposium as well as the Association for Applied Sport Psychology’s annual conference.

Research Topic: Fatigue related physical activity in a traumatic brain injury population.
Brief Biography: I did 2 bachelors in France in "education and motricity" and "health, kinesiology, sport" and I decided to keep studying on physical activity and mental and/or physical deficiences. For my master dregree, we collaborate with the Traumatic Brain Injury Unit from the Sudbury Regional Hospital and try to investigate the relationship between fatigue symptom and physical activity level of patients suffering from TBI.
