The purpose of the Bachelor of Physical & Health Education - B.P.H.E.  is the academic preparation of the individual through theory and field work with the focus on physical and health education in society, in the context of educational, leisure, and competitive situations. 

The Sport and Physical Education program (a.k.a. SPED) provides for the academic preparation of the student through theory, activity and internship classes with the focus on physical education and sport in the context of educational, leisure and competitive situations.

The B.P.H.E.  is offered in conjunction with the English Language Concurrent Education Program at Laurentian University. This allows the student to obtain a teaching certificate , a Bachelor of Education, and a the B.P.H.E.
