RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am a theatre historian, director and actor. My chief areas of interest are the theatre of the English Renaissance and performance studies, particularly single-sex performance of the work of Shakespeare and his contemporaries.

REPRESENTATIVE PUBLICATIONS

Articles and reviews in SHAKESPEARE MATTERS, LOCAL HABITATIONS, Theatre Studies and the Royal School of Church Music in America magazine.  Current project is a book entitled SINGLE-SEXING SHAKESPEARE: Historical and Production Issues in Contemporary Performance.
