RESEARCH INTERESTS

I received a PhD. in Italian Studies from the University of Toronto. My field of specialization is contemporary Italian theater. I wrote my Ph.D. thesis on the image of the woman in the Italian theater of the late nineteenth century and the early twentieth century.  I also completed my third year of my university degree at the University of Siena. Additionally, I have lived and studied in Italy for 10 years.

I am currently teaching Italian at Laurentian University and am an associated member of the Interdisciplinary Humanities M.A program. I have also taught at the University of Toronto at Mississauga for 6 years.

Along with Dr. Diana Iule-Colilli, I have been co-directing the yearly productions of Laurentian University’s Italian Theatre troupe, Le Maschere Laurenziane, since 2005.
