The following is an estimate of the costs for an international student to live and study at Laurentian University during the 2010-2011 academic year. Prices vary according to program of study and are subject to change without prior notice.

1.     Tuition and fees are based on a regular undergraduate program. For graduate and EAP fees please visit the Student Fees website

2.     Assuming the students need to purchase proper winter clothing 

3.     A student bus pass is included in students' fees for September to April. Students may purchase a monthly pass from May to August

Scholarships and Funding Opportunities

Last year, we awarded more than $8 million in scholarships and bursaries to undergraduate students.

Laurentian University is dedicated to helping students attain a quality education by offering access to many sources of funding from on-campus employment, scholarships and bursaries, to grants and federal loans.

Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship - Automatically awarded after first year

Bourse Franco

$1,000 is automatically awarded to students who follow a minimum of 24 credits of first year courses in French

Note: International students who complete the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) are also eligible for entry scholarships

Additional funding sources

Please contact the Canadian Embassy’s Department of Education in your home country or your country’s Embassy in Canada to inquire about other available scholarships for study in Canada. For example, individuals from select francophone countries can apply to the Programme Canadien des Bourses de la Francophonie (PCBF) from within their home countries.
