Laurentian has distinctive programmes, such as health promotion, forensic science, native human service, and sport psychology.

We also offer popular programmes in engineering (mining, chemical, mechanical), social work, computer science and commerce.

Many of our programmes incorporate lab work, field work, placement, or co-op options to give you hands-on experience.

Our professors are known for their academic excellence, their friendliness, and accessibility. Thanks to our small class sizes, our professors can dedicate themselves to helping you express your creativity, building your understanding, and introducing you to new topics and research. You can study in English, French, or take courses in both official languages.

Laurentian also boasts a number of health-related programmes, such as radiation therapy and psychology, many of which, including kinesiology, midwifery, and nursing, offer on-the-job experience or internships.

Mansoureh Akbari is from Iran and completed her studies in gerontology. She also has a nursing degree from the Islamic Azad University of Mashhad. Mansoureh says, "I like it here.
