College to University
It just got easier.
As a college student or graduate, you have earned valuable post-secondary credits which should
be recognized. At Laurentian University, we are mindful of what you’ve achieved thus far and offer some valuable transfer options for you to consider.
Admissions Process:
In order to determine your eligibility for transfer credits, you will need to apply as a transfer student through the Ontario University Application Centre online at ouac.on.ca. Once your post-secondary records are received, they will be studied to determine and maximize the transferability value of the credits you have already successfully obtained.
Maximum recognition of credits Laurentian University has developed a series of transfer policies and articulation agreements to enable college students to earn a bachelor’s degree in a shorter time period.
Numerous options Laurentian offers transfer students convenience and flexibility. Full-time and part-time programs are offered on campus or by non-traditional means such as distance education and online courses. The university also has a bilingual (English/French) learning environment where students choose from programs in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Engineering, Professional Schools and Management.
Personalized learning environment With approximately 380 professors and 8,800 full-time undergraduate students, Laurentian University prides itself on smaller class sizes, providing plenty of one-on-one interaction with professors. Opportunities for degree completion For students who have a college diploma in a related academic program with a GPA of A or higher, Laurentian University offers
a general arts degree through the Arts Degree-Diploma Completion Program. Instead of receiving transfer credits, a specifi c program is set up for each student.
Students who are not eligible for the Arts Degree-Diploma Completion Program receive transfer credits for their college studies. The transfer credit and degree-diploma policies are as follows:
