Instructional Media Center Awards 
During the AMTEC 2003 conferencein Halifax the Instructional Media Centre received three awards for the production of two videos.
AMTEC LEADERSHIP AWARD

This premier award recognizes outstanding services in the field of educational technology. The winner receives an engraved medallion. Awards recipients are nominated by their peers and selected by an adjudicating committee composed of AMTEC Board members.

Nominated by : Bill Sanders, Gail Saunders, Dr. Susan Silverton.

A Life Long Learning Experiene: A Story  of One University's Influence in the Development World received the Panasonic Award of Excellence for the post secondary class, in recognition of the highest overall level of quality standards, in addition to the effective use of the  video medium and application of skills to provide a successful communication result. The video also received the  AMTEC Award of Excellence.

The production of Dissolved in Liquid was also granted the AMTEC Award of Merit, after receiving an Award of Merit in April from the Canadian Corporate Television Association

Information on the AMTEC Conference

The Amtec (Association for Media Technology in Canada) Conference was held at the Université of Québec in Montréal this year. This year's conference sees AMTEC  and CADE-ACED working in partnership with TÉLUQ/UQAM to create a program  that will provide a rich and satisfying professional experience for members of both associations.   CADE-ACED's and AMTEC's commitment to bilingual programming  will be very much in evidence and the Media Festival that has become a tradition  for AMTEC members will be a delightful new experience for CADE-ACED's members  who have not yet had the privilege of enjoying this event.
