Dr. Nancy Lightfoot is an epidemiologist trained in community health with research interests in a) issues relevant to northern and rural health, b) Aboriginal health research (e.g., community identification of health research priorities, conduct of community-based health research, identification of community-preferred health research methods), c) health services research (e.g., impact of long distance travel for care, client satisfaction, recruitment and retention of health care professionals, and program evaluation); d) chronic disease surveillance, development, progression, and survival, and e) occupational health (e.g., quality of work life for various health care professionals). She enjoys using quantitative, qualitative, and mixed method methodologies and community-based health research, in particular. |
