Brett Buchanan, Ph.D. (DePaul)
Philosophy
Brett Buchanan was educated at DePaul University (Ph.D.), The University of Western Ontario (M.A.), and University of Alberta (B.A. Hons.). He is currently Assistant Professor of Philosophy, a core member of the Interdisciplinary Humanities M.A. program, and faculty member with the Human Studies Ph.D. program at Laurentian University. His teaching and research interests are primarily in 19th and 20th century continental philosophy, environmental thought, and critical animal studies. Among his professional services include four years as Secretary for the Existential and Phenomenological Theory and Culture society, editorial committee member for the Environmental Humanities series at Wilfrid Laurier Press, and on the editorial committee for various journals and societies.
