What Can I Do With A Degree In Commerce and Administration?

The School of Commerce and Administration offers undergraduate degrees in French and English, both on campus and online.  Graduate programs are offered in English on campus and online.   Following the completion of a core year, students have the option of studying abroad or working for an organization while earning credits.  Class sizes are generally small and afford students personable access to professors.  Please see the department link below for further information on programs and courses.

Commerce graduates can expect to work in areas of business and government related to management, marketing, financial planning, and human resources.  Laurentian graduates have found careers as accountants, teachers, professors, policy analysts, pharmaceutical representatives, and more.  In Canada the majority of graduates find work as auditors, accountants, and investment professionals.

Work prospects

The rate of employment of Laurentian Commerce graduates is 100% six months after entry into the work force.  In Canada the average yearly earnings for those with a Commerce degree is approximately $41,800.  However pay varies greatly with location, specialization, and level of experience.  Job satisfaction among graduates is roughly 90%, while 82% would choose to make the same educational choice again.

Work prospects are fair.  Competition among new graduates is expected to be average with the majority of competition coming from graduates in Business Administration and Economics.
