Specialist in Victimology

Victims of war and conflict, war crimes, crimes against humanity and their consequences in terms of post-conflict peacebuilding, post-conflict reconciliation and reintegration, international justice and the victims’ needs (traumatism, needs). International processes of peacebuilding (United Nations, International Criminal Court). Specialization in the cases of genocide.

Mass crimes (like the Polytechnique case in 1989) and their sociopolitical and psychological consequences on the victims of crime (traumatism, effects of crime, post-victimization needs, empowerment, and secondary victimization).

Public policy of restorative and criminal justice, especially in the case of state-run or court-ordered compensation programs for victims of crime.
