Research Areas:

Elizabeth A. Levin teaches child development and clinical child psychology to undergraduate students and psychological diagnosis and assessment to graduate students.  Dr. Levin graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, and obtained her master’s and doctorate in child psychology from the University of Waterloo.  She had the opportunity to teach at the Université canadienne en France.  Her research interests are varied and include issues in psychological assessment including the Canadian context and learning disabilities. She is also interested in stress and bullying in children.  Another main focus is on parenting styles and children’s conceptions of parenting.  She speaks frequently to the media and the public on parenting and child development issues.  A registered clinical child psychologist, Levin consults for several agencies providing services to children, adolescents, and families.
