Registration Advice for Psychology Graduate Students – 2011/2012

New Graduate Students must be registered by September 6th, 2011. Drop and Add deadline is September 16th, 2011.

To register you need to have your registration form (sent to you in the mail) filled out with your courses and signed by Dr. Emond (RM A238). Please arrange an appointment by e-mail to have this done memond@laurentian.ca .

After this is signed, you need to bring the signed form up to the Graduate Studies office, then you go down to the Registrar’s Payment Kiosk to authorize payment, and finally you take the form across the hall to the Registrar to have it entered into the system.

Elective Graduate Courses
One elective can come from graduate program courses outside Psychology with agreement from the supervisor and the graduate committee.

All first year students need to register for PSYC 5000 and PSYC 5106.

I would advise all Applied students to take as many required courses as they can in their first year because their second year will be busy with the Practicum and their research and some required courses may only be offered every other year.

I would advise all Experimental students to also take as many courses as they can their first year especially if there is a special topic being offered that they are interested in. Special topics are unlikely to be offered (in the same topic) every year.

Check Web Advisor for updates on the courses being offered this year and the times they are being offered:
