BURSARIES

FRENCH

Students must submit completed bursary application forms to the Student Awards Office, 1st floor, R.D. Parker Building. A Bursary application forms can be printed using Adobe Acrobat.  Unless otherwise, specified, only one bursary application forms is required for all bursaries.

The André Girouard Award

  • Requirements: A student entering any year of a program offered by the Department of French Studies, on the basis of financial need, good academic standing and Ontario residency as defined by OSAP. Application required. Established by the French Department (now Department of French Studies) to honour the pioneering role played by André Girouard in this department from 1960, the founding year of the University, to 1986, the year of his retirement.
  • Value: $350

The Langue et civilisation françaises bursary

  • Requirements: A student entering any year of the Langue et civilisation françaises program (for Anglophone, French as a second language), on the basis of financial need, good academic standing and Ontario residency as defined by OSAP. Application required. Donated by the staff and faculty of the School of Translators and Interpreters (now part of the Department of French Studies).
