
BURSARIES
PHYSICS
Students must submit completed bursary application forms to the Student Awards Office, 1st floor, R.D. Parker Building. A Bursary application forms can be printed using Adobe Acrobat. Unless otherwise, specified, only one bursary application forms is required for all bursaries.
The Founders of Physics Undergraduate Bursary
- Requirements: A full-time student enrolled in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of the Physics or Biomedical Physics undergraduate program, on the basis of financial need and Ontario residency as defined by OSAP. Application required. Established to recognize the contributions of the founding members of the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
- Value: $500 (normally)
The Sudbury Neutrino Observatory Commemorative Bursary
- Requirements: A full-time student in good academic standing entering any year of a Physics or Biomedical Physics program, on the basis of financial need and Ontario residency as defined by OSAP. Application required. Established by the Department of Physics and Astronomy with the proceeds of a lecture presentation by Stephen Hawking on the occasion of the official opening of the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory in 1998.
- Value: $500
Dr. Tuan Ton-That Memorial Bursaries
- Requirements: Established to honour Tuan Ton-That by his family and friends. The “Dr. Tuan Ton-That Memorial Bursaries” are awarded annually to one full time student in each of the following programs; Economics, Commerce, and Music or Physics. Bilingualism in French and English is a plus but not a requirement. The student must demonstrate financial need, and Ontario residency, as defined by OSAP. Application is required.
