Withdrawals

The student is solely responsible for withdrawing from the University or from courses and must do so through the WebAdvisor.

In the case of a withdrawal, the amount refunded is calculated according to the refund schedule, using the effective date reported on the WebAdvisor (not the date the student stops attending classes). If fees are not paid and a student withdraws within the time permitted, as outlined in the refund schedule, the student is still liable for a portion of the tuition fees applicable at the date of withdrawal.

Upon complete withdrawal from the University, a refund of the overpayment on an account is automatically issued. In the case of course withdrawals, a refund is prepared only at the student's request. Refund cheques are not available until the withdrawal is completely processed; no sooner than four weeks after the withdrawal date. Material fee and auditor fees are non-refundable.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OSAP APPLICANTS

You must maintain your registration and successfully complete a minimum of 9 credits per term in order to maintain your OSAP eligibility. If at any time, for any reason your course load is reduced, you may be overpaid, and you may be placed on OSAP probationary status or restricted from further OSAP assistance. You could also lose your OSOG, i.e. loan forgiveness, not only for the current session, but for the previous fall/winter session as well.

If you incur an overaward, you may be restricted from OSAP, and you will be required to repay the loan overpayment in full in order to apply to OSAP in subsequent terms.
