Joe Petrus, PhD candidate, is primarily interested in the geochemistry of impact bombarded rocks and minerals. Prior to joining the chemical fingerprinting group he obtained a BSc and MSc in physics, doing work in such fields as surface science, atomic physics, and phononics. Leveraging his background he hopes to both develop improved analytical techniques and implement data reduction software to provide additional insight into geochemical problems
