
The Oath of Office. Dominic Giroux is installed as the ninth president of Laurentian University by Carolyn Sinclair, chair of the Board of Governors, on June 2, 2009. Professor Mary Ann Corbiere pronounced the oath in Ojibway.

Dominic Giroux promises, as Laurentian University’s ninth president, to perform the duties of president as prescribed by law and by the statutes of the university and to promote the aims of this institution as set forth by its founders, to Carolyn Sinclair, chair of Laurentian’s Board of Governors.
