University Preparation for Students Program (UP)

The primary objective of the University Preparation for Students Program (UP) is to bridge English for Academic Preparation (EAP) with degree studies at Laurentian University.   During one semester, students are permitted to take up to 6 Laurentian University credits while continuing to study English 4 times per week under the direction of a specialized instructor.  Once completed successfully, the student may be granted admission to a degree program at Laurentian University.

Students who do not successfully complete level 3 of English for Academic Preparation with a 70% but who receive 64-69% may be admitted to the UP program if they meet all other degree entrance requirements.

*It is important to note that the UP program is not Level 4 of Laurentian University's EAP program, but a separate bridging program.
