To apply to the teacher training Baccalauréat consécutif en Éducation program, which includes 50 days of practical training in schools, students must first have obtained a bachelor’s degree; students must then choose a teaching level, i.e. primary/junior (JK to grade 6), junior/intermediate (grades 4 to 10) and intermediate/ senior (grades 7 to 12); for the intermediate/ senior level option, students must have obtained 30 credits in one teachable subject and 18 credits in another. University Degree, appropriate teachables depending on level, minimum of 67% average on best 60 credits and succesful completion of French Assessment Test.
Elementary or secondary school teacher, graduate studies.
Credit transfer opportunities are available from other recognized postsecondary institutions and are typically evaluated on an individual basis. Some fast-tracking opportunities also exist.
