The Laurentian Students' Union (LSU) is an independent student government. LSU represents over 1,200 full-time students at the Barrie and Orillia campuses. Its main goals are investing in university resources for the library, funding trips such as Model United Nations, Model Parliament, Stratford, and others, increasing guest lecturers and speakers, and creating more clubs and associations on campus derived from student interests.
The LSU is a student run organization existing independently from both Laurentian University and the Georgian College administrations. Its role is to act as the voice of the Laurentian student body, representing the interests of its members to all levels of government and university and college administration.
