As a mature student you may be working toward a degree after being away from formal education for a number of years, or be expanding your knowledge through Continuing Education. At Laurentian we value the breadth and diversity of your background and the distinctive contributions you make to our campus community based on your life experiences.
At Laurentian, we weigh education credentials as well as acquired practical skills in creating opportunities for adults to complete or upgrade their studies. College degrees, diplomas and other post-secondary accomplishments will be considered on an individual basis, to ensure that students transferring to Laurentian are given equitable value for their credits. To help you make the most of your previous educational and work experience, we have wide-ranging credit transfer policies and articulation agreements with other institutions.
We recognize that the interests and needs of mature students may differ from those of students who are entering university directly from high school. Accordingly, we offer a wide range of services to facilitate your personal, academic and professional growth throughout your studies. We are glad that you have chosen Laurentian and we look forward to supporting you in all of your goals during your university experience.
