Overview

The Music program covers three interrelated disciplines: theory, history and performance (classical or jazz). Laurentian’s Department of Music offers a low student/teacher ratio and small class sizes that allow for personal attention, development and growth, nurtured by a dedicated faculty.

 

Three and four-year (Honours) programs lead to a Bachelor of Arts in Music

Opportunities to study conducting and methods for other instruments

• Council for music students and performance opportunities in the City of Greater Sudbury

• Students take part in guest lectures, performance workshops and larger musical productions

Program Requirements

 

• Also available: Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts combining theatre arts, music, film and the new concurrent program with the Bachelor of Education. There are many opportunities for students to participate in ensembles and other performance activities such as:
