The Theatre Arts program offers a personalized learning environment in which students pursue both academic and practical courses in the field by studying subjects such as acting, directing, theatre in education, history, voice, movement and Canadian theatre. Two main stage productions are presented each year. Practical work may include specific roles or responsibilities in professional theatre productions as well as within the Theatre Arts Program.
• Three-year program leads to a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts
• Four-year interarts program leads to an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts, combining courses in music and theatre arts
• Students have access to a 150-seat theatre that includes classroom and workshop space
• Faculty members specialize in mask, Renaissance theatre and voice
• Also available: 30-credit Certificate in Theatre Arts (in conjunction with a degree in another discipline)
