TORONTO, ON - The Laurentian women's track team competed in their first indoor meet this weekend, at the University of Toronto's Fred Foot Invitational.
The Vees returned with two medals and seven top-eight performances. Triple jumpers Alicia Violin and Jackie Bray returned with a second and third place finish, jumping 10.62 and 10.54 respectively. Katie Wismer qualified for the OUA Championships by breaking the standard with a 10:34.39 time and a 4th place finish.
Alyssa Bedard, Michelle Kennedy and Coralea Kappel all ran personal best times in their events.
The Voyageurs' next meet is in two weeks at the York Invitational.
