A preparation for future courses both in Classical Studies and other subjects. An introduction to Roman culture and civilization and a general survey of Roman literature, religion, philosophy, art and architecture, social and political thought, and Roman influences on the course of Western society. (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both CLAS 1007 and CLAS 1005.
