Roman Law
Course Description
A focus on Roman law and legal science from the time of the Twelve Tables until the codification of Roman law under the emperor Justinian. Roman legal texts in translation are examined for what they reveal about Roman legal and social values, and the nature of Roman legal reasoning. (lec 3) cr 3
