This course provides a critical examination of a topic related to social work practice. The course relies on seminars, group work and independent study to investigate particular topics related to social work practice. Issues might include poverty, homelessness, child welfare, mental health, international development, oppression, HIV/Aids, violence against women, women's issues or any other issue that is topical in a given year. (lec 2, exp 1) cr 3. Restricted to third and fourth year BSW students.
