This course deals with structure and function of plants at the cell and organism level, including photosynthesis, respiration, long-distance transport of assimilates, water relations, energy budget, mineral nutrition and life cycles. The emphasis lies on genetic and phenotypic variation of the discussed traits and processes as mechanisms of acclimation and adaptation to different environmental conditions. PREREQ: BIOL 1506/7.
