This course is an in-depth study of the performance and production dramaturgy of Renaissance through 18th-century theatre. Emphasis will be placed on the development of staging conventions within the contexts of contemporary ideologies, visual arts and music. PREREQ: THEA 1115 or permission of the instructor. Students may not retain credit for both THEA 2247 & 2245. (lec 3) cr 3
