Course Description

This course will cover advanced concepts in genome structure and function. The topics to be covered include DNA structure, structure of chromatin, unique and repetitive sequences in genomic DNA, DNA replication, repair and recombination and the control of gene expression. PREREQ or COREQ: CHMI 3226. Accepted as a credit towards a program in Biology. Students may not retain credit for both CHMI 3217 and CHMI 4216.
