Dr. Cameron Willett began his career in education as a school teacher in 1991, teaching primarily junior and intermediate grade levels. He then spent the later part of the 1990's working in student recruitment at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Arizona. Completing his PhD at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, he has been a professor of education for the past nine years. He currently teaches junior intermediate Methodology as well as Education and Schooling. Originally from Little Pine First Nation in Saskatchewan, he is passionate about boating, snowmobiling and curling. When not at work he can usually be found spending time with his family on Manitoulin Island or on Six Nations.

Research Focus Dr. Willett is interested in Indigenous Research Methodology, student resilience and retention, gay/lesbian/bisexual/queer identity formation, and the effect of parental substance abuse on children in school. He has made conference presentations on all these topics.
