Meysar Zeinali received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering (specialized in robotics and control theory) from Queen's University, Kingston, ON, Canada. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering Department of the University of Waterloo and currently he is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering at Laurentian University, Sudbury, ON, Canada.
He is an expert in robust intelligent control of robotics systems, nonlinear uncertain systems modeling using neuro-fuzzy methods, Learning control for robotic systems, control system design and implementation for additive manufacturing systems (laser metal deposition by powder injection) and has developed a new systematic neuro-fuzzy modeling method and very interactive modeling software based on the developed neuro-fuzzy method.
He has authored more than 25 refereed journal and conference publications, as well as three comprehensive reports for aerospace industry and automotive industry. Professor Zeinali is a member of IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers), CSME (the Canadian Society of Mechanical Engineering), and a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Advanced Robotics Systems.
