Globe & Mail Canadian University Report
The Globe & Mail’s Canadian University Report focuses on ranking Universities in Canada through surveying 35,000 current undergraduate students.
Maclean’s University Rankings
Maclean’s places universities into one of three categories to recognize the differences in levels of research funding, the diversity of offerings, and the range of graduate and professional programs - Laurentian falls into the Primarily Undergraduate field. Within this, universities are evaluated on students and classes, faculty, resources, student support, library and reputation.
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
This survey measures the critical features of collegiate quality. The first is the amount of time and effort students put into their studies and the other educationally purposeful activities. The second is how the institution deploys its resources and organizes the curriculum and other learning opportunities to get students to participate in activities that decades of research students show are linked to student learning.
