Maclean's

Maclean’s considers 14 numerical indicators of the quality of students, faculty, libraries and finances to rank 49 universities. Each is placed in one of three categories to recognize differences in levels of research funding, offerings, and the range of graduate programs.

For the second year in a row, Laurentian saw a tremendous jump up the rankings in 2011 to 11th in our category.

Laurentian highlights this year included top marks in:

• student / faculty ratio (3rd)
• research grants (7th)
• operating dollars per student (1st)
• scholarships & bursaries (5th)
• library acquisitions (8th)
