SUDBURY, ON - Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Lady Vees’ basketball player, Erin Simpson (Sudbury, ON) has been named the Perkins Female Athlete of the Week.  

Simpson, the 3^rd year Sport Psychology student, was a bright spot for the Lady Vees against Lakehead and Guelph this past weekend.  Simpson led the team against the Thunderwolves on Friday as she scored 11 points in a 73-48 loss.

Saturday night, against Guelph, Simpson once again was a leader on the floor as she drained 14 points but the Lady Vees fell to the Gryphons 78-57.

Simpson and the rest of the Lady Vees will now focus on exams and will be off the court until the Christmas break.

SUDBURY, ON - Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs basketball player, Manny Pasquale (Victoria, BC) has been named Perkins Male Athlete of the Week.

Pasquale, the 4^th year Computer Science student, was a key contributor for the Voyageurs as they dropped a pair of tough games over the weekend.  On Friday, against Lakehead, Pasquale chipped in with 11 points while dishing out 3 assists as the Voyageurs dropped the game 90-71.

The following night, against Guelph, Pasquale showed off his prowess as he drained 31 points, including 6 three pointers, as the Voyageurs fell to the Gryphons 88-78.

Pasquale and the rest of the Voyageurs will now focus on exams and will be off the court until the Christmas break.
